Waiting Part 3

       They rolled my bed into the labor and delivery room and got ready to give me an epidural. Apparently mommy's spine is really deep because the nurse doing the epidural had such a hard time finding my spine that she asked me two times if I wanted to stop! I told her no get this done! Boy once she was done though I felt amazing. The pain literally went away, but the shivers set in! Mommy was shaking uncontrollably, but the nurse said that it was just the hormones. Grandpa Brown finally made it to the hospital when mommy was dilated to a 7. Mommy’s water broke at 5:00am so we knew that you were coming soon. Mommy, daddy, and grandpa and grandma Brown took a short nap because you woke us all up in the middle of the night.

Delivery Part 4

                                                                          Dr. Beck came in to see us at about 7:00am. He said that he was going to go check on someone else and be right back in. Just after he left your little heart beat started to drop so the nurses tried turning me from side to side and couldn't get it to come back up. Within two minutes of that Dr. Beck, and five other nurses filled the room. The doctor told me that I had to wear the oxygen until it was time to push. He told me to take a deep breath and push, we did that twice then he told me to wait. Then mommy made funny comment number two. “I said I feel like there is something that is not the right size for that area.” All of the nurses and even the doctor had a hard time not laughing. Mommy pushed two more times and out you came. When mommy first saw you I thought there was something wrong because you looked gray. You sneezed and then started screaming. Mommy started crying, don’t worry they were happy tears. I just couldn't believe that God had blessed us with such an amazing miracle. Then they told daddy to cut your umbilical cord, and he almost cut it in the wrong place but they caught him in time. Daddy said it felt like cutting a tire with dull scissors. When they brought you over to me I couldn't stop crying because I was so happy. Mommy and daddy held you and took in the amazing miracle that is you.

Kyle James Cardon has finally arrived! 

at 7:28am weighing 6 pounds 15 ounces and

20.5 inches long.

She's About to POP!

Mommy had a baby shower for us yesterday, and even though daddy will tell you that he wasn't invited you just tell him it's a girl thing. He would have felt out of place anyway with all the girls running around. Mommy had such a great time with all her friends and family. You have so many clothes now just so you know you are very loved. Not too much longer now! Thank you to everyone who came Kyle is so blessed to have all of you in his life.

Kyle's Room

Well mommy finally finished painting all the sea animals on the wall in your room. I really love the way that it looks so much that I spend more time in there than I do in my room. I hope that you like your room because a lot of love and devotion went into designing and decorating your room. We love you so much Kyle and we can't wait for you to come home. Although you will be sleeping in mommy and daddy's room for a little while, but you will eventually get to enjoy your own room.

4-D Ultrasound

Mommy was able to go get a 4-D ultrasound done so that we could see exactly what you look like in mommy's tummy. Daddy had to work so grandma Brown got to come with mommy to see you. It was amazing to see your beautiful face. You love to put your hands by your face. This worries us because mommy and daddy both sucked their thumbs, and we both had to have braces because of this. I have no idea how we are going to break you of this habit but we will try.

Maternity Photos

I haven't had a chance to update this in a while so I figured I better get on it now that school is out and graduation is on Saturday!

Daddy and I had a great time with cousin Leigh taking these great pictures. They make mommy feel really pretty. You are making mommy look really big. I can't even hug daddy without squishing you. See you soon squishy.

Magical Moments

6:05 this morning mommy felt the most amazing feeling that I have ever felt before. I felt your little feet kick my belly. What an amazing feeling it was! At first I couldn't believe it. So I grabbed daddy's hand quickly (remember daddy is not a morning person) and then you stopped kicking. So daddy rolled over. You started doing it again so I grabbed daddy's hand once more and you kicked his hand too. Daddy asked me "Are you okay?" I said "Yeah did you feel that." He said yes he did. You made mommy cry because I had been waiting for this moment for weeks.
